A former NC State player has been arrested for allegedly stalking and molesting coach Dave Doirn

Former North Carolina State player Joseph Politeple was arrested on charges of stalking and threatening coach Dave Doeren.

Politibli, 22, is charged with misdemeanor stalking and resisting arrest while trying to get away from officers as they arrested him this week. The former defensive lineman was on NC State’s roster from 2018-19 and was accused of threatening Doeren in a tweet earlier this month that he said he’d get in reference to the head coach.

From The Raleigh News & Observer:

Court records also describe the former NCSU defender sending disturbing text messages and appearing in Doeren’s office in a manner that “would cause a reasonable person to suffer great psychological distress by placing such person in fear of death, bodily injury…or safety.” of the person’s immediate family.”

Boletepeli had 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks in six games in two seasons at NC State. He transferred to Maryland after the 2019 season and played in four games with eight tackles and a tackle for loss. He did not record a stat in 2021 for the Terrapins.

Doeren and his coaching staff recruited Boletepeli, a Raleigh native, to come to NC State. Doreen has been the technical director of the Wolfpack since 2013.

As part of the terms of his bond, Boletepeli is required to wear an ankle monitor and cannot approach NC State.
