A new answer to the most frequently asked questions

For many years, the question I get asked more than any other has been about what videos are on My YouTube channel. Specifically, people want to know how I highlight the mouse cursor in my videos or how I create the animated ellipse for my webcam. Sometimes they want to know the answer to these two questions. Since at least 2014 Screencast-o-matic was the answer. Today, the question has a new answer.

Screencast-o-matic has been renamed to ScreenPal. Today I used it to make a screencast video. It worked exactly the same way Screencast-o-matic did. In fact, if I hadn’t received an email about the name change, I wouldn’t have even noticed that something had changed.

screenshot It offers all the same features as when it was Screencast-o-matic. And as far as I can tell, there have been no changes to the free plan and there have been no changes to the paid plans. Much like a file Anchor rebranded last weekRebranding Screencast-o-Matic to Screenpal seems purely cosmetic at the moment. And look for a new Screenpal tutorial on my YouTube channel in the near future.

On a related note, Approximately five video projects per semester Starts tomorrow. There is still time to Register here.
