It’s awards season NBA.
And while we know the winners of this season’s individual awards, such as Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, the team honors are just beginning to roll in. Those include the All-Rookie, All-Defensive, and All-NBA teams.
Follow along with all of the honorees below.
First team in the NBA
Gilgos Alexander TeaG, Oklahoma City Thunder
The guy they call SGA had the best season of his career, averaging 31.4 points per game (fourth best in the league), and made his first All-Star appearance in his tenure as well. And although he was a great scorer, he did so at an effective rate, shooting 51% from the floor, 34.5% from behind the arc and 90% from the bar.
Luka DonjicAnd g Dallas Mavericks
Dončić was a solid player on the stat list for the Mavs, posting 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and eight assists on the night for the team.
Tatum is an All-NBA First Team recipient for the second year in a row after guiding the C’s to the second best record in the Eastern Conference. Tatum finished sixth in the association in scoring (30.1 PPG) and added 8.8 rebounds in 74 starts.
Giannis AntikonmoF, Milwaukee Bucks
Despite the Bucks’ disappointing first-round exit, “The Greek Freak” was once again among the league’s best players. His individual brilliance was undeniable, as he notched a career-high 31.1 points per game along with 11.8 boards. He also tied for the league lead in 50-plus points game with Donjić.
Joel Embiidc , Philadelphia Seventy Sixers
It’s no surprise to see the “MVBiid” name named to the All-NBA First Team. The Sixers giant has been a man among the boys all season, leading the league in scoring with 33.1 points a game on 54.8% from the floor, while hauling in 10.2 rebounds.
All NBA Second Team
stephen curry, g Golden State Warriors
As usual, Curry was a shooting machine for the Dubs, posting 49/42/91 shooting splits for an average of 29.4 points per game, good for the third-best mark of his career.
Donovan MitchellG, Cleveland Cavaliers
Mitchell made an immediate impact with Cleveland in his first year there, scoring 28.3 points a game on 48.4% of the floor, not to mention tying the season’s highest point output with a blast of 71 points against Chicago.
Jaylen BrownGee, Boston Celtics
Brown is an All-Star for the second time in his career. He had the best offensive season of his career with 26.6 PPG, while converting 49% of his field goals and grabbing 6.9 boards.
Jimmy Butler made huge noise during the postseason, but excelled at both ends of the court all season, posting 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
Nikola Jokicc , Denver Nuggets
“The Joker” was excellent throughout the game, averaging nearly triple-double with 24.5 PPG, 11.8 RPG and 9.8 APG.
Every third team in the NBA
Damien LillardG, Portland Trail Blazers
Lillard has played 71, 60 and 50 games this season, averaging 32.2 points per minute along with 7.3 assists. He had an effective field goal percentage of 56.4.
Jerry West’s clutch player of the year led the NBA in clutch points (194) and clutch points per game (5.0). He was also a first-time All-Star, averaging 25 points per night, with 6.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
LeBron JamesF, Los Angeles Lakers
James surpassed the 25-point-per-game mark for the 19th consecutive season, totaling 28.9 to complete the board with 8.3 and 6.8 assists.
Julius RandelAnd F, New York Knicks
Randle put up a double-double with 25.1 points and 10 rebounds on the night. He became the second team All-Star of his career with the Knicks.
Domantas Sabonisc , Sacramento Kings
Sabonis was an undeniable cog in Sactown’s roaring season, tallying 19.1 points, 12.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists to guide them to their best record (48-34) in 18 years.
First Team All Rocky
Benedict MathurinG, Indiana Pacers
Mathurin has been the main torchbearer for Indiana’s offense this season, starring alongside him Therese Halliburton In the backcourt for the team he averages 16.7 points per game on 43.4% shooting.
Keegan MurrayF, Sacramento Kings
No rookie in NBA history has made more 3-pointers than Keegan Murray. 206 smashed 3s Donovan Mitchell 187, and his effective strokes (41.1%) from depth helped the Kings clinch their first playoff game since 2006.
Jalen WilliamsF, Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder drafted a pair of Ravens with the same first name (different spelling) in 2022, but it was Jalen with an “e” who etched his name on the All-Rookie squad. the Santa Clara The product recorded 14.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game on 52.1% shooting.
Paolo PancheroF, Orlando Magic
Not surprisingly, Rookie of the Year was named to the All-Rookie First Team. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound forward fits Orlando’s NBA style of play, and completes 20 points per game with 6.9 rebounds. It was also the only unanimous choice.
Kessler was a solid defensive leader for the Jazz all season, keeping the paint at 2.3 tackles per game. He was also reliable on the offensive end, putting up 9.2 points per game on 72% shooting from the floor, along with 8.4 on board.
ALL-ROOKIE SECOND TEAM
Jaden IveyPG , Detroit Pistons
The high-flying ranger was commendable rather than wounded Kid Cunninghamaveraging 16.3 points and 5.2 assists per game in his starting role.
The Rockets have had a slew of amazing young players breaking onto the scene this season, and perhaps Eason’s performance was unexpected. He was stable on offense, posting 9.3 points and six boards per game, while earning his coach’s trust with some solid defense.
Jabari Smith JrF, Houston Rockets
The #3 pick in last year’s draft averaged 12.8 points and 7.2 assists per game in 79 starts.
Jeremy SuchanF, San Antonio Spurs
Suchan’s play was as colorful as his poetry, as he rode a barrage of smashing posters to 11 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest.
Galen DoreenC, Detroit Pistons
Born on November 18, 2003, Doreen was the youngest player to appear in an NBA competition this season. His play was far from expert, as he averaged 9.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per night. Shot 64.8% from the ground.
Defensive first team
Jrue holidayG, Milwaukee Bucks
Holiday helped the Bucks reach the top seed in the Eastern Conference this season in part due to his defensive skill. The guard averaged 1.2 steals and 5.1 rebounds per game.
Caruso’s identity as a defensive disrupter has remained such this season, averaging 1.5 steals per game while jumping in and out of Chicago’s starting lineup.
Garren Jackson Jrc , Memphis Grizzlies
Jackson grew to become one of the best frontcourt players in the NBA, topped by his elite talent for deflecting shots. The big man averaged an NBA-best three blocks per game in winning the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
Evan Mobleyc , Cleveland Cavaliers
Mobley started 79 games for Cleveland, helping the team finish first in points surrender (106.9 points per game) while rejecting 1.5 shots per game.
Brook LopezC, Milwaukee Bucks
Lopez defended the coatings at a high level for the higher-ranked Bucks, blocking 2.5 shots per game.
The second team, which is characterized by total defense
White was a stacking fullback and starting starter in a Boston defense that finished in the top five in the NBA in opposition points (111.4), field goal percentage (46.3%) and 3-point shooting percentage (34.5%) per game.
Dillon BrooksG, Memphis Grizzlies
Brooks made a name for himself on the defensive end, and maintained that reputation on his way to helping Memphis earn the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.
Anunobi finished fifth in Toronto as a starter primarily because of his defense, and is still a player on that end of the floor. The Raptors forward has averaged the best 1.9 steals per game in the NBA.
Draymond GreenF, Golden State Warriors
Green has always done a little bit of everything, which he has continued to do this season on both ends. He averaged 1 steal, nearly 1 block and 7.2 rebounds per game.
The versatile Adebayo has been a defensive mainstay for the Heat this season, turning up flips and defending the paint. He averaged 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks per game
