After conducting a poll on Saturday with his followers, Elon Musk restored the account of former US President Donald Trump. President Trump has been banned from using the social media platform, following the insurrection and attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Following the reinstatement, Sarah Rosen, Twitter’s US head of content partnerships, announced her departure from the company. Rosen’s departure coincided with the exit of several prominent figures at Twitter, who were responsible for some of the key policies deployed to operate Twitter.

For example Robin Wheeler, Twitter Ads Sales The company’s president, and Maggie Sonwick, the company’s partnerships lead, were both terminated on Friday, after they refused to fire more employees. Yoel Roth, Twitter’s head of trust and safety, also resigned last week.

After the exit of a number of high-profile employees responsible for enforcing policies that attempted to make Twitter a civic space, the platform continues on Advertisers are losing out, despite Musk’s best intentions.

Shortly thereafter, Trump’s account, which had earlier appeared as suspended, reappeared on the platform complete with his previous tweets, more than 59,000 of them. His followers are gone, at least at first, but he soon begins to win them back.

It will be interesting to see if President Trump actually goes back to using Twitter, given he has it Its own social media platform, Truth Social Now, especially considering how much money has been spent on the platform.
