App State’s Chase Price finds Christian Horne in a miracle, Mary, for defeating Troy

After ESPN’s Hosting GameDay College Live from Boone, North Carolina, on Saturday morning, the Appalachian State opened its Sun Belt competition against Troy.

In a back and forth relationship, the game lived up to the hype that GameDay College was hoping for.

After Michael Hughes’ 23-yard field goal late in the third quarter, App State took the lead for the first time since 13:48 to finish in the first quarter, 24-21.

Troy running back Kimani Vidal opened the scoring in the fourth quarter, helping the Trojans reclaim the 28-24 lead with a one-yard touchdown with 10:10 to play.

Fast forward to the last minute of the match. Leading by four points and facing fourth on his 11-yard line with only seconds of play, quarterback Troy Gunnar Watson ran out of the back of his end zone trying to run some time. Deliberate safety made Troy 28-26 with 20 seconds to play.
