Argentina vs Saudi Arabia (Over/Under 2.5 goals)

5 a.m. ET Tues, FS1

Saudi Arabia might be the worst team in the tournament and it would be a huge surprise if they didn’t finish in Group C. On Argentina to win just not there. We like the chances of hitting three or more goals on this one.

Mexico – Poland (2.5)

11 a.m. ET Tues., Fox

  • Mexico to win (+170)

  • Poland wins (+175)

  • tie (+210)

As you can see, this is an incredibly identical game. We wonder if not losing will be more important to both teams than taking risks to win. It’s hard to see the loser of this match advance to the playoffs, so we’ll say both teams play this conservatively and it ends up in a tie.

Odds of winning the fourth set

  • France (-185)

  • (+225) Denmark

  • (+1400) Australia

  • (+1700) Tunisia

Odds of finishing 2nd in Group D.

  • France (-2000)

  • Denmark (-275)

  • (+333) Australia

  • (+350) Tunisia

Denmark – Tunisia (2.5)

8 a.m. ET Tues, FS1

  • Denmark to win (-210)

  • Tunisia to win (+625)

  • tie (+310)

The Oddsmakers aren’t keen on scoring too many goals in this one. The bottom is -150. Tunisia might be an unobtrusively strong team, even though they are clearly the third best in the group. Denmark must continue their good form since Euro 2020 and win here. We’ll take the Danes straight in a 1-0 or 2-0 win.

France – Australia (2.5)

2 p.m. ET Tuesday, Fox

  • France win (-350)

  • Australia (+1000)

  • tie (+475)

France don’t have to at least start the World Cup against Denmark because they are playing a squad that looks a lot different from the team that won the World Cup 2018. As you probably know by now, Karim Benzema, Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante are all out through injury and Raphael Varane and Jules Conde are recovering from injuries . France should win this goal easily and under 2.5 goals at +105 seems to be our preferred play. This is a team that tends to play conservatively even with all their stars in the squad.
