Barcelona predicted lineup for the Getafe match

Barcelona will look to keep up the feel-good factor on Sunday night, hosting Getafe as they turn attention back to La Liga.

Xavi watched his team defeat Real Betis and then Real Madrid to win the Spanish Super Cup and secure their progress in the King’s Cup since the last league match when they beat Atletico Madrid 1-0.

They are in fine form, are three points clear of their El Clásico rivals at the top of the league, and have won nine and tied one of their previous ten points in all competitions.

By comparison, Getafe sit above the relegation zone, having won just once in their past five league matches. Here’s how La Blaugrana could line up to get three more points on the board.

Ansu Fati

Goalkeeper: Marc-Andre ter Stegen – The 30-year-old has played every minute for his team La Liga In his career so far, he has conceded only six in 16 matches and kept 12 clean sheets so far.

Right back: Ronald Araujo – He was last rested but must be brought back into the side, having started three out of four since returning from injury.

Center back: Jules Conde – He could swap with Araujo to play either in the middle or on the right, but he will certainly feature anyway, having also been left out in the cup progression last time around.

Playmaker: Andreas Christensen – He has proven a very good signing for Xavi and will certainly keep his place, having started the last three league matches for his side.

Left-back: Alejandro Balde – The 19-year-old’s impressive displays this season have dislodged Jordi Alba’s long-standing monopoly at left-back, starting in 13 of their 16 league matches so far.

DM: Sergio Busquets – Speaking of long-term, Busquets isn’t going anywhere. The Blaugrana icon has been appointed to lead his side for the 13th time this campaign.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – He has only missed La Liga due to injury this term and, after being rested against Ceuta, should be looking forward to going here.

CM: Pedri – One of football’s brightest sparks on the planet, Pedri’s influence at Barcelona is growing and growing. He was also left out for the Catalan giants’ last game, but after scoring in the 3-1 win over Real Madrid, he is likely to be reinstated.

RW: Ousmane Dembele – He scored on his World Cup debut and should also be a big name to be brought back into the starting line-up for this goal.

ST: Ansu Fati – Robert Lewandowski He’s still hanging on for that one so we can see Ansu Fati, who has scored three goals in his last six in all competitions, deputize.

LW: Javi – Another shining star for this Barcelona The side, Gavi has missed very little football this season, and after scoring and setting up two goals in El Clásico victory in the Supercopa final, the 18-year-old should start here.
