Benjamin Pavard reveals that he considered leaving Bayern Munich this summer

Benjamin Pavard has admitted that he is considering leaving Bayern Munich this summer after contact from a number of quarters across Europe.

Pavard has been an important player for the Bundesliga champions since joining from Stuttgart at the start of the 2019/20 season, and his form has piqued the interest of several teams this summer – both Manchester United and Chelsea are rumored to be keen on it.

While the move never materialized, he admitted that he considered leaving his current club for a new challenge.

“I questioned myself, I got calls from different clubs with my agent,” said the defender. Telefoot.

“Then, I had [a conversation with] The Bayern coach we spoke with and with whom we have a good relationship. He made me understand that I was in his plans, that I was important to the team.”

Pavard has two years left on his current deal and is likely to make a decision on his future at the end of the season, and the 26-year-old has not ruled out a move to another club in the future.

“Maybe one day I will go to one of these clubs, you never know what the future holds,” he added.

“I am focusing on this year in Bayern Munich. After that, we have time to highlight ourselves.”

Interest in him will only grow if he continues to perform as is. This season, he’s started every game and one of Bayern’s most impressive players has had a poor start to the season for them.
