Best MLS goals week 32

Only two weeks left in 2022 football League Campaign, things are heating up.

In the east, the confrontation was between Hani Mokhtar and Sebastian Driussi. Although every player scored a goal, the Nashville club personality maintained the lead in the Golden Boot race by scoring 23 goals. West also saw plenty of action, scoring the classic Chicharito goal and Julian Grisel’s stunning attack to wrap up Week 32.

Here’s all about this version of Goals for the Week…

To start, we have Sebastian Driosi against Nashville. His equalizing goal in the 60th minute takes Austin FC’s record to 21 goals and the second in the 2022 Golden Boot race.

He’s become a standout figure for the Texans, going from five goals and five assists last season to one of the league’s top scorers in 2022.

With two regular games remaining in the season, and the MLS Cup playoffs fast approaching, there’s no telling what Driosi will accomplish.

Ah, a classic by Chicharito himself.

This Mexican number sent fans into a frenzy with his back heel strike that secured a much-needed win for the LA Galaxy. The team now stands seventh in the Western Conference, holding the last card to the playoffs for the time being.

We love the overtime goal.

Santiago Moreno secured a 1-1 draw for the Portland Timbers in the last second of the game with a stunning right-footed shot into the bottom right corner of the goal.

The draw puts the Timbers fifth at the Western Conference table in time for repairs. After a bittersweet 2021 post-season campaign, the Timbers return with a vengeance.

After some time in the shadows, it looks like Julian Gressel is back and better than ever. He surprised the Whitecaps’ latest character with a right-footed shot from outside the penalty area. Stefan Frei tried to save, but nothing was stopping Gressel.

Although a 2-1 win leaves the Canadian team out of the finalists in ninth place, the race is still tight. Anything can happen before decision day.

Last but not least we have Facundo Torres vs Toronto FC.

The player opened the scoring in the ninth minute of the match, clearing the way for a 4-0 win over Toronto FC. After lifting the US Open Cup, it looks like Orlando City still has the energy to go win the league title. The Florida side sits fifth at the Eastern Conference table, inspiring the post-season tour.
