The pirate Tom Brady is hoping to rock their latest, less-than-amazing record against the Saints as they travel to New Orleans for the pre-season NFC South fight this weekend.
However, Tampa Bay will have to fend off a division rival without one of its main offensive stars.
box announced Friday This wide receiver Chris Goodwin He will not play in tilt on Sunday after sustaining a hamstring injury in last week’s season opener against the Cowboys. Goodwin hasn’t been involved in training at all this week, questioning his placement in the Week 2 game against the Saints.
Goodwin, who returned in Week 1 against Dallas after suffering a torn ACL and MCL against New Orleans in Week 15 last year, left the season opener in Tampa after appearing to straighten his hamstring near the break. He was disqualified for the remainder of the game after making three receptions for 35 yards.
With Goodwin unable to enter the field this weekend, Brady will need to count on veteran receivers Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Russell Gage and Prishad Berryman – all of whom are listed as playable suspects in the team’s latest injury report for the week.
The Pirates will face the Saints at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday in New Orleans.
