Three former federal health secretaries of state headline the Business of Health Care: Managing Through Uncertainty conference at the University of Miami. The Trustees will join industry executives and experts for a day that will include three formal sessions and multiple networking opportunities to address pivotal issues affecting the health sector.
Conference coordinators Stephen Ullmann, Professor and Director of the Center for Health Management and Policy at University of Miami Patty and Alan Herbert School of Business, and Carolyn Mortensen, Associate Dean for Business Programs and Professor of Health Management and Policy, highlight the importance of the conference theme.
Uncertainty is always present in the healthcare system — and the pandemic has certainly increased that presence. By bringing together leaders and professionals across all major industry sectors, we can focus a multidimensional lens on pivotal uncertainties-; policy questions, technological disruptions, staff shortages, managing epidemics, among others-; This is critical for generating therapies. “
