- Critics are trying to portray Binance CEO negatively after FTX crash.
- An economics professor called Binance and its CEO a ticking time bomb.
- The CEO of Binance replied that people who focus on negative energy never go far in life.
Reportedly, some pundits tried to paint Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the CEO of Binance, negatively after the collapse of the second largest crypto exchange FTX.
In a recent economics forum, economics professor Nouriel Roubini claimed that Binance and its CEO were a ticking time bomb. Roubini also alleged that the UK authorities banned Binance while being investigated by the US Department of Justice for $8 billion in money laundering.
However, CEO Zhao responded to the professor while taking questions from CNBC reporters at another economic forum. He said that the exchange doesn’t care much about what the critics say, adding that most of them are trying hard to get famous by attacking other people. In his own words:
“People who focus on negative energy never succeed in life because they will generally remain poor.”
Professor Roubini asked the UAE authorities to revoke Binance’s operating license and expel the company and its CEO from the country. In response, Czechoslovakia called Roubini disrespectful of his proposal to whom the country should expel from being a guest of the country. The CEO also argued that Binance was the most licensed crypto exchange globally, with multiple permits in the US and several other countries.

Moreover, the CEO clarified that Binance has yet to receive regulatory approval from the UK government, not that it has been banned from operating in the UK.
On the other hand, verified Twitter user @KimDotcom, with over 1 million followers, is making FUD calls against the CEO of Binance. According to them, Binance had a role in the FTX crash.
Since I started talking about the role of cz_binance in the collapse of FTX, I’ve been getting messages from insiders who work (ed) closely with CZ and Binance. Someone revealed to me: “Either FTX or Binance is going down”. A story about strength, arrogance, greed and survival.

They also added that based on the inside information, “either FTX or Binance is going down – a story about strength, arrogance, greed, and survival.”
