ELRIG UK has appointed Nick Clare as Head of the Vendor Strategy Working Group

The European Laboratory Research and Innovation Group (ELRIG) in the United Kingdom today announced the appointment of Nick Clare to the ELRIG Board of Directors. S/he will chair and lead the Vendor Strategy Working Group to help ensure that vendor views and interests are represented on the ELRIG Board of Directors.

ELRIG aims to make the life sciences and drug discovery communities accessible, high-quality science content and events with the support of their vendors. The Board of Directors is made up of a diverse group of individuals, representing all aspects of the ELRIG community, as well as having the necessary skills and experience to run the educated community. This includes commercial representation within its governance structure to ensure its strategy aligns with the needs of the vendor community.

Nick brings two decades of industrial life sciences experience across a variety of scientific and commercial roles at large pharmaceutical companies and start-ups. He is currently the Regional Sales Director (Head of Europe) at Synthego and in recent years has supported scientists in tool selection and workflows in stem cell and CRISPR applications to help drive the discovery of new therapies. Nick was elected to the ELRIG General Committee in 2021 in support of the organization’s Networking Working Group. Prior to that, Nick served as a Scientist and Laboratory Lead in Research and Development, leading projects to create cellular/genetic models for drug discovery and disease modeling.
