Five touchdowns for Adrian Martinez lift Kansas State above No. 6 in Oklahoma

After a disastrous 17-10 home loss at the hands of Tulane last Saturday, Kansas State had to quickly put the defeat behind as they prepared to go on the road and face No. 6 Oklahoma.

And boy, did they hastily put this loss behind them.

Continental player Adrian Martinez netted 382 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns as Kansas State beat Oklahoma 41-34 Saturday night in Norman. The Wildcats are never late in the turbulence of the road.

Martinez, who moved to Kansas State from Nebraska in the off-season, showed what kind of quarterback he can be when the lights are brightest. After an uneven run in Nebraska under Scott Frost that featured plenty of ups and downs, the senior player of the fifth year claimed his first win as the first Wildcats.
