Gareth Bale warns Wales not to underestimate the USMNT


Wales are preparing for their first participation in the 2022 World Cup finals when they play against United States men’s national team On Monday, November 21st.

Historically, the lead is held by the American side with 1W-0L-1D head-to-head. And during the character of the star Gareth Bale Wells insists he is confident going into the match, and admitted that the USMNT should not be underestimated.

“I have some experience playing against and with some of the American team. They are a good young team and they have some great players.”

“We have no illusions that they are here to win the game just as we are. We know their weaknesses, I can’t share them with you right now as long as we stick to our game plan and do what we do and we will be fine.”

Greg Berhalter, head coach of the US men’s national team, responded in a similar way when asked about Wales, adding: “It’s basically an English Premier League squad.”

“I think that at least for the American media, Wells is underappreciated,” he told reporters. “When I look at their team, it’s basically a Premier League team. To me, it’s a really good team, a great team. They’ve been in international competition before, and they know what it is. It’s going to be a very tough game.”

Monday’s match is set to be decisive in Group Two, with England standing as favorites to advance and Wales and the United States trailing in the fight for that second ticket to the last 16.
