Google has stopped releasing flagship Pixel devices in India, after the Pixel 3 series, mainly due to how the Indian market has responded to the flagship Pixel series. This time around, we know for sure that Google will definitely launch the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, thanks to Flipkart.
Online retailer Flipkart has put out a teaser on its site confirming the imminent launch of the Pixel 7 series in India. According to the very brief page, both the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be launched in India soon.
For the past couple of years, Google has not released its major flagship devices in India, such as the Pixel 4, Pixel 5 and Pixel 6. Instead, they have focused only on the A-series of devices, such as the Pixel 3a, Pixel 4a, and most recently the Pixel 6a.

The launch of the Pixel 7 series will be the first flagship Pixel phone in India since 2018. Flipkart, which has been Google’s online retail partner for all of the Pixel launches, doesn’t have any further details to offer regarding the launch at the moment.
If there is speculation, Google will launch the Pixel 7 series, as well as three smartwatches within the Pixel Watch series, in the first week of October, at a Made By Google event.
The event will be mainly online, i.e. Google will be broadcasting the launch event live. The company will also host an in-person event in Brooklyn, New York, about two years after the virtual announcements.
Google shared a blog post announcing the event, sharing links on how people view the launch event and where people can sign up to get notifications about the launch.
In other news about the Pixel 7 series, Google has begun research for manufacturing partners in India It is currently seeking bids from several manufacturers and suppliers in the country as it prepares to move a large part of its production out of China.
Google was planning to transfer a large part of the files Production of the upcoming Pixel 7 series outside of China. Initially, Google planned to move about 25-30 percent of production to Vietnam. However, Google is currently soliciting bids from manufacturers in India, to assemble about 5,00,000 to 10,00,000 Pixel 7 series devices which will represent about 10-20 percent of the device’s estimated annual production.
