How can Tottenham qualify for the Champions League?

Tottenham looked well below Champions League form in their North London derby defeat by Arsenal, but they’ve proven the doubters before.

Antonio Conte got a buzz from Tottenham this time last year to guide them into the top four, although it looks like it will be very difficult to replicate that trick this time around.

However, never count on Conte, and Tottenham remain heavily involved in the fight for Champions League qualification 2023/24.

spurs Currently sitting fifth in Premier Leaguewhich may seem more positive than it currently is.

They are five points behind Newcastle United and Manchester United, who currently occupy the bottom two places in the Champions League in the Premier League table.

To make matters worse, Manchester United have a game in hand against Tottenham as well.

In the meantime, Newcastle would also have the advantage in that they are not also toying around with an existing European campaign. While Manchester United and Tottenham have the next European League and Champions League Games in a row, Newcastle are free to focus on domestic football.

The other clubs Tottenham have to worry about are Liverpool and Chelsea. The Reds are having a scary season by their usual standards, but few would be willing to write them off just yet.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently ninth, five points behind Tottenham and ten ahead of Manchester United and Newcastle, so they will have to offer something special. This, though, as we know, does not bypass them.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are 10th on the same points as Liverpool but have played a game more.

Therefore, it seems clear that Tottenham will have to turn the odds around a bit to qualify for the Champions League next season, but it is far from losing.

Of course, the other way Tottenham might qualify for the Champions League next season is by winning this year’s trophy.
