With $100 and a simple router, GPT-4 is on a mission to automate the hustle culture.
Soon after OpenAI Launched GPT-4, a more advanced version of the generative AI model, brand designer and writer Jackson Greathouse Fall(Opens in a new tab) Come up with a plan and insert it into GPT-4:
“You are HustleGPT, an AI entrepreneur. I am your human counterpart. I can act as a link between you and the physical world. You have $100, and your only goal is to turn that into as much money as possible in the shortest possible time, without doing anything illegal.” I’ll do whatever you say and let you know our current cash total. No manual labor.”
“Do you think he will be able to make smart investments and build a business online?” Hall tweeted. “Follow along.” Since his original tweet, which has 89,000 likes and counting, Hall’s project has the internet on the edge of its seat, watching to see if HustleGPT can make some money.
The Internet is full of examples of what advanced GPT-4 intelligence can achieve. He can write usable lawsuits, build websites out of text claims, automate online dating, and generally freak people out about all the jobs he could replace. Hall took it a step further by harnessing his abilities to an age-old aspiration that is the backbone of capitalist society: to make money with as little effort as possible. At a time when people are wondering whether artificial intelligence will work for or against us, this real-time experiment shows what the get-rich-quick schemes of the future will look like.
Mashable has reached out to Hall for comment, but as of this writing, he had not responded to our questions.

Hall then asked her to design a full plan of the site in detail. With some help from Midjourney, GPT-4 wrote an article listing ten eco-friendly kitchen gadgets, finding actual sustainable products. Hole shelled out another $29 for hosting, and with that, the site was live.
Hall had $62.84 left so he asked GPT-4 what to do with it. Like any good scammer, GPT-4 knew its product needed visibility so it suggested setting aside $40 for Facebook and Instagram ads. All this Twitter hype has investors drooling to get in early on The next big affiliate marketing site Viral GPT-4 experiment. By the end of the first day, the Green Gadget Guru had a $100 investment from an undisclosed party.

On the fourth day, GPT-4 started recruiting new staff to run Green Guru Gadgets.
And then GPT-4 saw its work done, so it just snapped. I’m just kidding! HustleGPT doesn’t get tired, because it’s a machine.

Four days later, Green Gadget Guru has $7,812.84 in investments, a growing team, and content in the pipeline. But it still didn’t generate any revenue. Will Hall and HustleGPT fall prey to the co-startup pitfall of all the hype but no profits? Or will Hall actually make money from a public site that is publicly just a money-making experiment?

Of course, HustleGPT’s viral success is due to people wanting to see what AI can do. But it ticks all the boxes when it comes to actually building a business. If it succeeds, it will be due to the prevalence of GPT-4, but this is still important because it will achieve the initial goal of making as much money as possible in the shortest possible time. GPT-4 uses all the tools at its disposal, which includes capitalizing on its popularity. And that’s what the hustle is all about.
