“I’ll come back in a more mature way’

Hirving Lozano is scheduled to participate in his second World Cup Mexico. After an iconic performance in 2018, scoring the 1-0 win over Germany and taking the Tre team into the Round of 16, he returned to the international stage with a desire for greatness.

But the Napoli forward admitted that he is not the same player who appeared in Russia.

“I lived my first World Cup in 2018, and it was amazing. But now, to live another life, I am coming back in a more mature way, in a personal and football sense. I will try to enjoy it to the fullest, to make more great moments,” Lozano said. 90 minutes.

The past four years have seen Lozano leap from Einhoven to Naples, chasing new roofs. In the two seasons he spent with the Eredivisie team, the player lifted the league title in 2017/2018, while ending the campaign as the team’s top scorer with 17 goals. He also watched Champions League matches, along with fellow El Tri teammate, Eric Gutierrez.

In 2019, Chucky moved to Italian Serie A Giants, they sing a five-year contract for a fee of €42m, making it the most expensive Napoli transfer at the time and the highest fee paid of any Mexican player.

He has since broken records with the club.

“The truth is I’m very proud of what I’ve done. I’m the first Mexican to win a title in Italy, the first Mexican to score a goal in Italy, the most featured player in Italy. So I think it’s a very beautiful and very important thing for me because no one has done it, well, it’s Part of the history I did, thank God.”

Lozano has made six appearances for Napoli so far this season and also had spells on the sidelines due to injury last season. But the World Cup is an opportunity to regain momentum.
