With the goal of organizing information around the world, it was about 25 years ago the day co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin registered their domain google.com. Then the rest is history.
As Google celebrates the silver jubilee of its domain registration, a video tours the Internet showing the first office of the US multinational technology company. Today, the tech giant may be an employer of about 135,000 full-time employees, but in 1998, Google was a start-up internet company consisting of two founders, Page and Brin, working in a garage. Yes, you read that correctly. The video posted by a Twitter user shows that Ph.D. at the time. Students at Stanford University, Page and Brin have rented a garage home to work for their company.
The video, which appears to be a short video, was shared with the caption, “On this day, 25 years ago, Larry Page and Sergey Brin registered the domain google.com (September 15, 1997). Here is the headquarters of the company and co-founders in 1998.” Camera , in all likelihood, is in the possession of Brin, who gives a glimpse into the page of a 25-year-old, by calling him the “CEO of Google”. The page can be seen saying “hello” to the camera. The video begins with the photographer revealing that between two homes in a residential area, the founders rented half a house, primarily the garage, as Google’s first headquarters. Upon entering the garage, the camera shows a few computers kept among several piles of papers.

Brian then takes viewers to his office in a separate room, still filled with a mountain of papers but less cluttered than the other rooms shown in the video. Brian’s office had two computers on the table. Needless to say, the video goes viral across the internet, and is recognized by millions. The video that has now gone viral has left a lot of social media users inspiring, as one user took to the comments section and wrote, “Wow, precious footage of Google Headquarters back then. Searching on the internet wouldn’t have been so easy without you guys.”
