KEY3.id Launches Ape Ape .bayc Domain, First Digital Identity Linked to Blue Chip NFTs

Today at 20:00 (UTC+8) KEY3.id, a distributed, open and scalable naming system launched the first NFT-linked decentralized identifier (DID) .bayc. Boring monkey (BAYC) NFT holders now claim the corresponding numbered DID, e.g. 0000.bayc, for free at KEY3.id. bayc DID is tied to BAYC NFT, and 10,000 DID is only available to claim it.

According to KEY3.id, .bayc DID is the first ABT (Asset Linked Token) Linked to Blue Chip NFT and is only available to BAYC NFT holders and is non-transferable. KEY3.id CEO Cory Buck tweeted that .bayc may usher in a new phase of your “assets as a dissociative personality”.

The launch of .bayc immediately sparked an uproar and a following in the BAYC community, including some of the most popular Web3 influencers. Game Space CEO Michael Cameron minted 6669.bayc and changed his Twitter name to “Michael Cameron 6669.bayc”; The former CEO of Huobi Global 0xLivio minted 2883. bayc, and also changed his Twitter name accordingly.

Michael Cameron said: “.bayc combines the uniqueness of short digit domains with the digital attributes of a boring monkey that only BAYC NFT holders can claim, which can effectively reflect the assets of DID holders. It is predicted that .bayc will soon become the most sought-after DID, and may even drive up the price of BAYC NFTs, especially those who hold large numbers. “

Many BAYC NFT holders have said that the most valuable aspect of .bayc is the Asset Bound Token feature. It guarantees its reliability, follows the NFT and cannot be traded separately. Once the NFT is transferred or traded, the corresponding DID will also be destroyed.

KEY3.id CEO Kory Pak went on to say that KEY3.id will soon partner with dozens of wallets, DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi, dApps and other projects, including Bitkeep Wallet and KuCoin Wallet, to collaborate on using .bayc as a long replacement. The public address to DID is easy to read and memorable and can be linked to your wallet to send and Receive money, transfer tokens or NFTs, use as an ID, social networking, GameFi, and other Web3 scenarios.

In addition to .bayc, KEY3.id will soon support DIDs for 20 other domain names bound for Blue Chip NFT such as .punk, .doodle, .mfer, etc. According to its official website, a community voting campaign will open in early December, and the NFT project with the most votes that week will be available for the corresponding domain name mint.
