When the weather starts to get cooler, it’s a sign from Mother Nature that mid-week MACtion time is near. While the glory of competitive football on Tuesday and Wednesday nights always reigns supreme, the forces of the universe joined forces to bring us something magical during Wednesday’s showdown between Western Michigan and Central Michigan.
The showdown between the Broncos and the Chippewas—who play every year for Victory Cannon (seriously)—occurred in a snowfall that made any semblance of a cohesive offense virtually impossible. Every fan in attendance could never have had the dedication of their sub .500 teams begged to defy the harsh elements—but one (non-living) fan in particular stole the show on this night.
Fun fact: “Want to build a snowman?” from Disney frozen It is actually about MAC Football.
Perhaps the best part about this clip is that the actual The fan sitting next to the snow fan isn’t even wearing gloves. That’s a sign of someone who’s been through these kinds of conditions before and would probably prefer a little sub-zero precipitation with college football.
Western Michigan would go on to win the game 12-10 Blizzard, scoring five points in the final four minutes of the game. That gives the Broncos four wins in the past five meetings between these two sides.
Hopefully, the snow fan gets its Victory Cannon glory before it completely loses its structural integrity and merges with the rest of the abundant snow around it.
