NASCAR Cup Series Heading down one of his oldest paths This weekend to attend the annual ‘Weekend’ at Darlington Raceway. The event will feature a number of vintage paint schemes, visits from legendary figures and one throwback driver on the field.

The track opened in 1950, and is one of the oldest on the circuit and one of the most popular for racing. The unique, egg-shaped, 1.366-mile oval features wide, sweeping turns 1 and 2, but has tighter third and fourth turns in order to preserve the pond that the farmland’s original owner stipulated would remain in place when building highway. On the track famous for its multiple racing grooves, drivers enjoy finding their match for the long haul, and adjustments in the race are paramount.

The best drivers and best bets for the Goodyear 400

Despite never winning at Darlington in 10 career starts, Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson goes into the weekend as the BetMGM’s favorite. Three Toyotas and two Chevrolets follow as six entries with odds of 10 to 1 or better.

Darlington’s Mother’s Day weekend is always a celebration of NASCAR’s heritage. This “weekend” will also feature a former driver returning to the field.
