Manchester City midfielder Rodri considers Tottenham a contender for the Premier League title this season as a result of his progress under Antonio Conte.
Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title in 2016-2017, his first season in English football and a year after the Blues finished 10th, winning the Italian league with both Juventus and Inter. He has also led Tottenham to a return to the Champions League since taking charge less than 11 months ago.
Tottenham are one of only two teams to be undefeated in the Premier League seven games in the season, along with Rodri City.
Tottenham have the same record for City (five wins and two draws) and are only one point behind Arsenal, who set the pace so far.
“[Tottenham] They put together a great team and they have a manager who has very clear ideas and knows how to convey them perfectly,” said Rodri. Gazzetta dello sport.
“They know what they have to do and they do it with great precision. I see Tottenham as favorites to win the title. Conte’s career speaks for itself.”
