Manchester United have completed the loan deal for France international Estelle Caccacarino.
The 25-year-old defender joins the WSL Player of the Year squad from French giants Paris Saint-Germain for the second half of the 2022/23 season.
Cascarino, whose twin sister Delphine won the Champions League with Lyon last year, made just four appearances for Paris Saint-Germain in the early part of the season and joins a United team chasing a maiden Ligue 1 title.
She originally played alongside her sister at Lyon before arriving at French rivals Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 via stints at Paris FC and Bordeaux. Despite not being part of France’s European Championship semi-finalists last summer in England, Cascarino has won five caps for her country and will have ambitions of earning a role in this year’s World Cup.
“I am very happy and excited to be here,” Casarino told the club upon her unveiling. “I want to develop as a player and as a person, and help the team win trophies. On the field I’m a fighter and love helping the team both in attack and defence. I can’t wait to get started here in England.”
Manchester United manager Mark Skinner was full of praise for his new recruit, who follows Arrival of Canadian international Jade Rivière this winter.
