MATIC, CAKE, ETH, BTC, and SUI are among the top popular cryptocurrencies

Crypto data aggregator CoinGecko shared some of its top cryptocurrencies earlier today. Cryptocurrencies are ranked based on coins searched for more than 3 hours.
The five most searched cryptocurrencies during this time period included Polygon (MATIC), PancakeSwap (CAKE), (ETH), (BTC), and Sui (SUI). MATIC was the most popular cryptocurrency, and it saw a 24-hour price drop of about 4.1%. As a result, MATIC is trading at $0.829698 at the time of writing.

The altcoin managed to reach a daily high of $0.865369, but was trading near a daily low of $0.822147. Despite its price drop, MATIC managed to consolidate against Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) by around 0.4% and 0.1%, respectively.
The second and third highest popular coins were CAKE and ETH. Each of these altcoins experienced price losses over the past 24 hours of trading as well. At the time of publication, CAKE was trading at $1.80 after a price drop of more than 5%. Meanwhile, ETH was valued at around $1,759.15 after the price declined by 4.1% over the past day.
BTC and SUI occupy the last two spots in the top 5 cryptocurrencies. The cryptocurrency market leader was trading at $26,298.56 at press time after a 4.5% price drop. This weekly performance pushed BTC into the red at -10%.
The past 24 hours have been quite rough for SUI, as the altcoin has seen the price drop by more than 9% to trade at $1.04 at the time of writing. Similar to BTC, this negative price action brought the altcoin’s weekly performance down to -18.6%.
