Michigan’s Blake Corum exits with an apparent knee injury vs. Illinois

Michigan Star running back Blake Corum left Saturday’s game against Illinois after suffering a left knee injury late in the first half of the contest.

The injury occurred as Heisman hopeful Corum sprinted his way to the first touchdown mark. As he got close to the goal line for the win, an Illinois defender tackled him at the knees, sending the small ball carrier to the ground and releasing the ball.

After Corum took a break on the field, he immediately grabbed his left knee, prompting members of Michigan’s coaching staff to rush to take care of him. It seemed that Corum was in great pain as he lay on the ground.
