My favorite homemade brownie – a pretty mess

[ad_1]

My birthday is tomorrow, so I wanted to share my favorite brownie recipe with you, because that’s my mood for the year.

I love many cookie dough recipes—and in fact, I talked about a few when I wrote The best brownie recipes online several years ago.

These brownies are simple and have only five main ingredients, and you can make them all in just one bowl. It’s fudge in the middle with a crunchy brownie skin on top. I make these often. They are my favorite homemade brownies.

Related: Last year, I shared this Christmas cookiesAnd it’s beautiful. But, if you want something adult, try this one Martini birthday cake. Cheers!

Homemade Brownies Ingredients:

  • Dark Chocolate – Use good quality chocolate as this recipe is simple (the chocolate will have a shimmer). It’s still my favourite Askinosie.
  • ghee
  • white granulated sugar
  • egg
  • All-purpose flour

directione:

Melt the chocolate and butter together. You can do this in a file double boiler, But I usually do it in 30-second increments in the microwave.

Add eggs and sugar. Then add the flour.

Line an 8″ x 8″ baking pan with parchment paper and pour the brownie mixture into it.

Bake at 350°F for 25-28 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out without a handful of sticky batter on it.

Tips for success:

  • While this basic recipe only has five ingredients, there are a few things you can add to the batter to enhance it. Sometimes I add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or 1/2 teaspoon Espresso powder Just to deepen the flavours.
  • Before baking, you can decorate these basic brownies with nuts, crushed candy, marshmallows, sprinkles, or chocolate chips. Completely optional, but it makes it feel like a party!
  • Whatever you do, I’ll spray a little Unstable sea salt just before applying.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes brownies fuggy?

When a brownie recipe calls for more fat (butter or oil) than flour, it’s probably a brownie recipe.

Does the toothpick trick work with brownies?

yes. But keep in mind that the toothpick may not come out as clean as it might in other recipes, such as for muffins.

If your cake recipe is going to turn out flaky (meaning the centers will be sticky even after baking), the marking toothpick trick might be a little trickier, but it will still work.

What kind of chocolate is best for brownies?

Dark chocolate is best, at 70% or more. Or you can also use semisweet chocolate chips for brownies.
