week 1 From the 2022 NFL season it did not disappoint. Between a draw (meaning that not a single team in South Asia has won, even though two of them play each other), missed kicks in overtime and a season-opener win from bet-teaving favorites InvoicesThere was a lot for fans to keep up with as the weekend went on.
And after the excitement that took place on Thursday night between two of the AFC West’s contenders, week two appears to be no different.
Come on, football fans, settle down for another Sunday on the couch – we’ve got a game-packed afternoon, and SI will be here all day with analysis and live updates to take you through all the action of Week Two.
Games to watch
Roundtable preview for the entire second week: I read here.
All times ET. Watch the NFL live with fuboTV.
The Patriots at the Steelers (1 p.m.): I can’t imagine Bill Belichick ever circling a game in the first month of the calendar calling it a “must-win”. However, there were serious breakthroughs in the Patriot’s protection plan last week against dolphins. –Connor Or
Pirates in Saints (1 p.m.): The Saints have won seven of eight against their NFC South rivals, and are 4-1 in the series since Tom Brady arrived in Tampa Bay two years ago. The Saints came alive late against the Hawks last week. …so this will be a good test to see if the Buccaneers, who are off the Cowboys, are what they have been in the last couple of years. –Albert Breer
Dolphins at Ravens (1 p.m.): Lamar Jackson wasn’t forced to compete much last week against the Jets, a team that surprisingly played against the Ravens’ signature attack. … they wouldn’t have a similar luxury against Sunday’s more complete dolphins defense, which, despite not having overwhelming numbers in passes, took advantage of the free runners when they intended to create it. –ko
Cardinals in Raiders (4:25 p.m.): This will either confirm what we saw in these teams’ losses last week (the Cardinals got beaten up by the bosses; the Conquerors exonerated themselves nail-biting with the Shippers) or just ask more questions about where each team is. –AB
Bengals in Cowboys (4:25 p.m.): This is an introduction to a cliffside view of Dallas. I would be willing to place a big bet on the Cowboys who went down to 0-2 and the Bengals won by the scores. Mike McCarthy’s sans Duck Prescott teams were somewhat defeatist, reluctantly winning matches to save face at trash time. –ko
predictions
- The Jets stuck a 40 burger on the board this week against the Browns. Robert Saleh went on the racket for his young team. Zayn’s coach usually motivates the team that will find the rhythm in a running game against the excellent Browns front. –ko
- Romeo Dobbs and Christian Watson meet for over 150 yards. Matt LaFleur and his staff took a calculated risk in giving the Beginners plenty of early playing time — both of whom were in more than half of the Packers offensive shots last week. …I think this will lead to some early flashes from Monday, and I think we’ll get one on Sunday night. –AB
