Something small: Nothing offered the second generation wireless earbuds (2). The official successor to the Nothing Ear (1) (not to be confused with the ear requester (the wand)), the new Ear Buds (2) feature a dual chamber design and custom 11.6mm dynamic drivers. It’s Hi-res Audio certified for playback up to 1Mbps and supports up to 24-bit/192kHz and LHDC 5.0 for HD streaming over Bluetooth.

The buds also offer active noise cancellation up to 40dB with three levels to choose from. Like Nothing’s other products, they use clear plastic for a unique look.

each bud Sizes 29.4mm x 21.5mm x 23.5mm and weighs 4.5g, just under the original’s 4.7g. The charging case is also smaller and lighter, measuring 55.5mm x 55.5mm x 22mm and weighing in at 51.9 grams.

Speaking of battery, nothing pretentious that its new buds can last around 6.3 hours with ANC off on a single charge or four hours with ANC enabled. Factor in the juice stored in the charging case and you’re looking at up to 36 hours of playback with ANC off or 22.5 hours with it on.

The charging case can be recharged using USB Type C or wirelessly with a Qi-certified charger. A quick 10-minute charge can result in about eight hours of ANC-disabled listening.

Ear (2) is compatible with Android 5.1 and later as well as iOS 11 and later. To control playback, just press the stem of the bud. Single press will play/pause and answer or hang up calls, double press can skip forward/reject calls and triple press will go back one track. Pressing and holding will switch the ANC modes.

the ear none (2) Wireless earbuds will be available for pre order Starting March 23rd at $149 and will start shipping March 28th. It is only offered in one color – white – but that may change in the future.
