Nvidia teases more RTX 4000 details with cipher, to confirm Lovelace engineering name

It is highly expected: We’re now just five days away from the event gamers have been eagerly anticipating: Nvidia has revealed its RTX 4000 graphics cards. To add even more fuel to the hype machine, Team Green has released a few new teasers for the GeForce Beyond event, including one with a mysterious code that could… He reveals some specifications of Lovelace.

The latest Nvidia GeForce Twitter account teaser for Project Beyond shows a PC setup with dual monitors and plenty of the company’s signature green color splashed across the keyboard, monitor stand, and even mug. There’s also a glowing green Holocron in the corner.

The camera is placed on a sticky note attached to a monitor, highlighting a sequence of numbers: (208) 629-7538. What these represent is not clear, but there are plenty of theories.

The number “629” in the middle of the string could be the AD102 GPU die size. It was rumored to be 628 square millimeters, which indicates that the actual figure is 1 millimeter larger than thought. The second number, 7538, is probably the number of transistors. We’ve heard that the RTX 4090 will have 75 billion transistors, so the exact number could be 75.38 billion.

Finally, there is the number “208” at the beginning of the code. This one is confusing people, but the most likely explanation is that the GPU offers 2.08 times more performance than the GA102 found in the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080. Once again, previous rumors pointed to an RTX 4090 offering. About poor performance From the current generation card.

A second teaser trailer has the same desk with a piece of paper next to the computer. Zoom in shows it’s a “Diagram of Arithmetic by Bernoulli Numbers Engine”, created for Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine by Ada Lovelace in 1843. While it’s pretty clear what a project will be next, it’s essentially the first time Nvidia has confirmed that the event It will revolve around the architecture of Lovelace.

The latest RTX 4000 rumors claim that the RTX 4090 will be launched first in October, the same month we may also see Three updated amp cards. It’s also believed that Nvidia will announce this card alongside two versions of the RTX 4080 (16GB and 12GB), instead of the RTX 4070. We’ll find out for sure on Tuesday, September 20 at 8AM PT/11AM ET.
