TL; DR

  • A rumor suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro may have a rotating bezel.
  • Samsung took the rotating bezel away from the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, despite it being a fan favorite.
  • The Galaxy Watch 6 series is likely to be launched in August.

Last year, Samsung disappointed fans with its launch Galaxy Watch 5 Pro With a digital bezel. While this system worked well, it didn’t offer the tactile experience of a physical bezel running around the watch face.

Fortunately, Samsung may correct this change in 2023. According to Semi-reliable leak (free SamMobile), Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro can return the physical rotating bezel. Unfortunately, as with years past, this feature likely won’t come to the cheaper and less feature-rich Galaxy Watch 6.

The rotating bezel allows users to quickly navigate the touch interface without hovering or scrolling. It’s especially useful during exercise when your movement can make your jabs and swipes less precise – and therefore more frustrating.

A related leak is that the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro may also come in two sizes again. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro came in one size — 45mm — though previous pro-level models (also known as “classic” models) had more than one size. If the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro has more than one size, that would also be great news for buyers.

Keep in mind that this leak is not as reliable as some of the others. In other words, take this news with a grain of salt, because it just might not work.

Samsung will likely launch the Galaxy Watch 6 series in August along with its next round of foldable phones, namely Galaxy Z Fold 5 And Galaxy Z Flip 5.
