After months of leaks, Samsung’s latest entry in the mid-range Galaxy A series is finally ready to be shown. We have all the details about both Galaxy A54 5G and A34 5GHere’s everything you need to know.
Samsung Galaxy A54

Robert Triggs/Android Authority
Starting with the A54, Samsung gave its bread-and-butter device a 6.4-inch FHD+ SuperAMOLED display with 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. While this is very close to the same specs as A 53Samsung’s screen, albeit a little smaller (6.5 inches), has improved brightness. The A54 runs out an extra 200 nits compared to the last iteration, for a total of 1,000 nits. This should make viewing in bright conditions much better than before.
Protection for this screen and the back of the device will be Gorilla Glass 5. This should be enough to prevent damage from waist-high drops on hard, rough surfaces and provide good scratch resistance. In terms of durability, it comes with The electronic identification number level of IP67
The front of the phone features an Infinity-O cutout for the selfie camera, which uses a 32MP sensor. Speaking of cameras, the back of the A54 includes a trio of shooters. The main camera offers a 50MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS). The ultrawide uses a 12MP sensor and a 5MP macro lens.
The A54 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, similar to the A53. This is said to provide enough power for 21 hours of video playback and two days of use, even when using 5G. For charging, the phone uses 25W Super Fast Charging which should be able to fully charge the device in 82 minutes.
Moving on to one of the most important aspects of the phone, the A54 will be powered by Exynos 1380 chipset. It will be backed by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM on all models. And for storage, you’ll have a choice between 128GB and 256GB with UFS 3.1. If that’s not enough storage, the phone supports up to 1TB of expandable microSD storage.
Samsung Galaxy A34 phone

Samsung’s most affordable mid-range phone shares some similarities with the A54. For example, the A34 also has an FHD+ SuperAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of brightness. Additionally, it features a triple camera setup, IP67 rating, 5,000mAh battery, 25W super fast charging, the same storage options, and Gorilla Glass 5.
However, it falls short of mimicking the same specs in a few key areas. One such area is the camera array that features a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. Another noticeable difference is the processor, which is a MediaTek 1080 SoC. This chip improves CPU by 17% and improves GPU performance by 14% compared to the A33 chip. It also comes with 6GB of RAM for the 128GB model and 8GB of RAM for the 256GB variant. And instead of an Infinity-O aperture, the A34 uses an Infinity-U aperture for the selfie camera.
