Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is just as simple a tradition in my home as it is in millions of other homes in the United States. Over the past few years, Macy’s has offered some Steam training lessons related to the offer.
Parade 101 It features four video demonstrations of hands-on activities that students can do at home with their parents or in your classroom. The four activities include inflating balloons through the use of baking soda and vinegar, designing balloons for display, making and using scalping dough, and building model floats. All videos include lists of supplies needed.
I love all four activities. If I’d recommend one for Thanksgiving, it would be building or designing floats because they can be made using cardboard, paper, glue, markers, and other common household materials that aren’t messy and shouldn’t be in the kitchen. However, I think the most fun thing is the activity of blowing balloons.
In addition to the videos and STEAM projects, Parade 101 offers some printable coloring sheets and puzzles. that Interactive timeline of show history It is also still available to view.
