Dillon Brooks Help fuel Memphis Grizzlieswin over Golden State Warriors Saturday, but the Warriors were in no mood to entertain his two-way effort.

At the end of the Grizzlies family 133-119 After winning the FedExForum, Klay Thompson got tired of Brooks yelling “You suck” from the Grizzlies’ bench. So Thompson counted four fingers towards Brooks and the Grizzlies off the bench.

He referred to the four championships he won and a similar gesture he made toward Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker earlier this season. But Thompson didn’t stop there, kicking Brooks out game after game.

“I don’t care about Dillon Brooks,” Thompson told The Commercial Appeal. “When he retires, I don’t think anyone will ever talk about Dillon Brooks again. I promise. He’s nice now, but wait 10 years.”

Brooks took Thompson’s gestures in stride as a competitive banter. In a hoarse voice, he praised what the Warriors had done over the past 10 years and said the Grizzlies were using him as fuel.

“He’s got four rings,” Brooks said. “That’s all he’s been saying. It’s motivation for us.” “We want a ring, too. To be able to go through the Steps process that we did last year, we keep learning from all of that. It’s friendly trash talk, but I own a lot of real estate there in San Francisco.”

Both teams split the regular season series with the home team winning each of the four games.

Stephen Curry did not want to discuss Brooks individually but singled out the Grizzlies’ collective effort. Both teams played the second night of a back-to-back game but the Grizzlies made 18 three-pointers to the Warriors’ 13.

Curry shot 5-for-15 with 16 points, while Brooks had 18 points and was 4-for-4 on 3-pointers.

“We totally played the Memphis Grizzlies, not just him,” Curry said when asked about Brooks guarding him.

The two teams met last season in the playoffs with the Warriors winning six semi-final matches. When the teams met on Christmas Day, Thompson committed a technical foul after yelling at Brooks while running in the bottomcourt.

On March 9, Curry and Draymond Green later dismissed the Grizzlies as a competitor after the Grizzlies won the FedExForum. However, the Grizzlies still see the Warriors as something to shoot for. There is a chance that the two teams will meet in the first round of the playoffs, so time will tell if things continue for the second time in a row after the season ends.
