Tennessee drops four points to ninth after blowout loss at South Carolina

Tennessee dropped four spots from No. 5 to No. 9 After losing 63-38 in South Carolina on Saturday.

South Carolina’s nine putouts over the Volunteers scored the most points ever scored by an unranked team over a top-five opponent in college football history. Surprisingly, however, the Gamecocks never made it to the top 25 after winning. They are No. 2 among teams outside the Top 25.

The top four along with Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and UCSD are unchanged in this ranking. The latter two teams needed late field goals to secure the wins on Saturday. Michigan beat Illinois 19-17 at home While TCU beat Baylor 29-28 on the road. The Wolverines and Buckeyes meet in the annual Week 13 rivalry game.
