The English Premier League table is formed after Chelsea and Tottenham drew


Heading into the final two months of the Premier League season, margins are very thin in the title battle, the battle of the top four and the drop of relegation.

At this point in the campaign, gathering real momentum and the confidence that comes with it is more important than ever for all those left with something to play for, which happens to be the vast majority of sides in the league.

Who is building that momentum right now and who is sorely lacking? Well, here’s how many points each team has accumulated in their last six league matches…

Manchester City is the only team that has not lost any of its last six matches, and Pep Guardiola has won five of them to maintain its chances of winning the title. Arsenal remain the favorites in that battle despite winning every game since losing to the reigning champions.

The first two positions are the only ones that are fully secured Champions League Qualifiers with Brighton and Liverpool to close the gap with Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle last month, though a late Eddie Howe side’s win and Tottenham’s draw against Southampton last time put the Magpies in a strong position.

Chelsea Hopes of qualifying for the Europa League, let alone the Champions League, appear slim after being drawn against Everton, who are in the best form of those fighting to stay in the Premier League.

Leeds and Bournemouth have also been going decently, with both sides winning a third of their last six matches to seal their chances of avoiding a return to the World Series well.

Leicester looked to have escaped a relegation battle when they put in a solid performance at the end of 2022, but they are back again after losing four of their last five league matches.

Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are the only two teams that have not had a single win in the last six matches, and as a result the latter sacked coach Patrick Vieira.
