The Maryland Attorney General announced a settlement agreement with the leaders

The Maryland Attorney General’s office reached a settlement with the Leaders after accusing the team of failing to return ticket deposits to season ticket holders.

Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosch took to Twitter to confirm the news Friday.

“For years, leaders have held onto money that isn’t theirs,” Frosh wrote. “It belongs to their clients. The settlement we reached will require the team to return that money to those clients, pay a fine and make sure they don’t engage in this behavior again.”

Frosh claims the team did not return deposits within the required 30 days to eligible ticket holders. Instead, the team only returned deposits if cardholders requested them in writing. Frosh pointed out that this behavior violates the consumer protection law.
