maybe NBA Back to the traditional All-Star Game format?

The NBA is considering returning the All-Star Game to an Eastern Conference versus Western Conference format, The Athletic reported Friday.

The report noted that making the game more competitive was a major topic of conversation between the NBA and the NBPA regarding a new collective bargaining agreement.

While the amount of scoring has increased exponentially over the years, the NBA All-Star Game has developed a negative reputation for being simply offensive penalties with no defense.

Each of the last six NBA All-Star Games has two players serving as captains and designing their team. Team captains included LeBron JamesAnd Stephen CurryAnd Giannis Antikonmo And Kevin Durant. The last East vs. West game was in 2017 when the West beat the East 192-182 in New Orleans.

This year’s All-Star Game saw Giannis’ team defeat LeBron’s team 184-175 in Salt Lake City. The 2023 draft was different from years past as both teams selected their roster before receiving information.
