  • The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are expected to be launched in the second half of 2023.

We are only two months away from Google I/O conference The event is where the company will make some announcements, which are expected to include Pixel 8 series. However, it looks like we won’t have to wait until then to get our first look at the Pixel 8 Pro.

The well-known company Tipster OnLeaks, in association with the outlet smartbreaks, may have given us our first look at the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro. The leak includes four renders and a 3D model of the phone in question. From the images, we get a good look at the front, back and sides of the device.

Known as Husky, according to previous reports, the most notable change in the Pixel 8 Pro appears to be the camera bar. Instead of separating the lenses, Google’s new design appears to bring all three together into a single, oval-shaped slot. In another departure from the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 8 Pro appears to be gaining an additional sensor just below the flash. Whether this is a depth sensor or a macro, or something completely new is unknown at the moment.

Another thing Google seems to be changing is the angles. Where both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series feature square corners, it looks like the Pixel 8 Pro will adopt rounded corners. This will have an effect on the screen, making it slightly smaller in overall size. The leak indicates that the screen may be 6.52 inches with the phone measuring 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.7mm.

Although the phone may be more curved than previous generations, it seems that this will not be the case for the screen at least. According to the outlet, Google may choose to move away from curved edges entirely, opting for a flat panel. Including the camera bump, the phone will be around 12mm thick.
