Please do not do this: As much as everyone loves a quick cleaning shortcut, we don’t recommend the following method for cleaning graphics cards or any other electronics for that matter. At best, you’ll end up with a damp mess. At worst, you will ruin your components.
A video allegedly posted on Twitter shows Vietnamese cryptocurrency miners preparing used graphics cards for resale by washing them with a high-powered jet nozzle. Cryptocurrency mining has the power of multiple GPUs had become Less profitable since the “consolidation,” so crypto entrepreneurs are preparing to offload a lot of their gear.
Of course, some mining rigs operate 24/7, leaving little time for cleaning. Most regular users only Clean their PC Use a can of compressed air—maybe a soft brush and alcohol for heavy buildup—and call it daily, but that can become impractical when dealing with GPU racks and pins. The video shows at least eight Zotac GeForce RTX cards being blown away by a pressure washer, and that was just one platform.
Some Vietnamese miners cleaned up their old graphics cards after merging ETH by exposing them to very high risks. It really is their cleaning season while they wait for the next third minable GPU coin. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/qnUMWxpyct

While most recommend not washing graphics cards with water, it can be done. Some even use dish washer for this task. There are also immersion methods where one of the ingredients is placed in a solution and beaten with ultrasound. These techniques are arguably faster when dealing with multiple parts but require special handling and water treatment.
As satisfying as using a pressure washer can be, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone who recommends one for cleaning your circuits. A seaplane can easily dislodge surface-mounted components or damage a GPU in a way that a user-buyer may not even notice under close inspection.

Graphics cards are generally powerful, well-designed components that can withstand some slight abuse. However, a pressure washer can take pieces of cracked concrete driveway. It’s not likely that any GPU manufacturer has built a card that can stand up to this kind of power.
And all this is on top of the fact that these cards are practically played to death. The lesson here is to be careful if you buy used or refurbished GPUs. It may seem like a good deal, but if mishandled in this way, you could end up with a worthless paperweight.
