This app brings dynamic island to Android phones

It’s happening guys, and it was inevitable.

A few weeks after Apple released a version iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, Some Android smartphone makers, including Xiaomi and Realme, have started openly Discuss Add a feature similar to Apple’s “Dynamic Island” to their phones.

And now, thanks to an app called DynamicSpot (via the edge), you can have something similar to dynamic island on your Android phone today.

Created by developer Jawomo, the app is described as “a small multitasking feature, making it easy to access recent notifications or phone status changes.” It’s basically a copy of Dynamic Island’s functionality: a small black bar surrounding the camera hole that delivers notifications and can be tapped to expand into a widget-like version of the corresponding app.

The app does not have all the functionality of Apple’s Dynamic Island, which is deeply integrated with the phone and can display notifications for many of the phone’s functions. However, it has an option that Apple does not offer, in order to adjust the size and position of the “island” itself. This way, you should be able to make DynamicSpot Island play well with most Android devices, no matter where the camera is cut out and what it looks like.

DynamicSpot is available at google apps. It’s free to download, but add-ons like tapping apps to open them will cost you $4.99.
