Tottenham’s next six matches after Southampton

A cup is out of the question, but Tottenham could still make the 2022/23 season relatively successful by securing a top four spot.

Most of the talk about Tottenham at the moment is about the future as it is largely unclear whether Antonio Conte and Harry Kane will remain at the club beyond the current season.

Whether they do or not can largely depend on whether Champions League qualification is guaranteed, which makes the upcoming matches all the more important.

After a period of rest thanks to the international break, spurs They will get back to work with a trip to Goodison Park, the place where they struggled the most.

Tottenham have not won any of their last four matches at Everton, drawing three of them and losing 5-4 in the FA Cup two years ago.

They were victorious the last time the two sides met, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Kane and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

This confrontation could have a significant impact on the English clubs that play football in the Champions League next season, as Brighton is looking forward to doing it themselves.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side have been in contention for a top-four spot all season and Tottenham are perhaps more likely to claim one if they can win in north London.

Tottenham haven’t been as comfortable against Bournemouth lately as you’d expect, winning only two of the last four matches between the two and doing so narrowly on those occasions with 3-2 victories.

However, the Cherries never managed to avoid defeat when playing away in this fixture, and they will not be expected to do so this time given their struggles this season.

Like Tottenham, Newcastle will also be somewhat disappointed if they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season after often finishing in the top four.

They looked like a team poised to compete against the biggest clubs in Europe when they beat North London earlier this season, winning 2-1 in a tight contest.

Manchester United Pulled away from Tottenham in the fight for third place, they began to emerge as a top team again under Erik ten Hag.

Their improved form has seen them win the Carabao Cup and stay in the FA Cup and Europa League, and their busy schedule could give Tottenham an edge in this fixture.

Depending on how the matches turned out before that, this could be a huge game for the top four to fight. Liverpool can put themselves back in the competition if they do well.

This would make Tottenham fans nervous, given the performance of their club against the Reds in recent times, as Jurgen Klopp and his companions did not lose any of the last 11 confrontations between the two, and they won eight confrontations.
