West Ham are set to contest the Confederations Cup final on Thursday night as West Ham host Chelsea at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

The Blues aim to regain the title they won in 2020 and 2021, after being defeated in the final last season by Manchester City.

Having rebounded from picking up points from Arsenal for the first time in their last outing, the Hammers are battling to reach their first ever Continental Cup final.

when does it start? Thursday 9 February, 19:15 (GMT)
Where is the match being played? Chigwell Construction Stadium
TV channel/live broadcast? BBC Sports / iPlayer / Red Button (UK), FA Player (International)
to rule? Richie Watkins

Jess Zew remains a lengthy absence from West Ham as she continues her comeback from an ACL injury in October.

Pernell Harder still misses out on winning Chelseaafter sustaining a hamstring injury while on international duty in November.

West Ham put in a massive defensive performance to hold Arsenal to a 0-0 draw last time out, with Grace Fisk and Houa Sissoko at the heart of the defence. However, they spent much of the second 45 camped out in their own half, and Arsenal were guilty of missing out on a number of big chances – Chelsea certainly wouldn’t be extravagant.

Although the Blues have not been at their best this season, they are simply masters of getting the job done, and are expected to book their place in the Conte Cup final.

Prediction: West Ham 0-2 Chelsea
