Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, announced on Tuesday that he is launching a New web3 fellowship program.
The Nailwal Fellowship will invest $50,000 in ten individuals for a year to bring the brightest minds to the blockchain industry. Neelwal said he is investing his capital.
“Why am I starting the Nailwal Fellowship? I am at a point in my career where I want to foresee the kind of impact my work will have on the world. I feel extremely fortunate to be in such a place. That impact is clear to me – I want to bring as many founders into web3 as possible.”

Nailwal also said that the capital he invests is meant to be used by “senior builders” to “give up their comfortable jobs or to resolve matters in their lives” that are preventing them from “achieving their true potential”.
“In addition to capital, recipients of the Fellowship will receive support from Symbolic Capital in the form of weekly mentorship, a suite of tools for connecting with top founders & investors, and the ability to raise funding if a company is started as a result of the Fellowship.”
The Polygon co-founder also spoke about his personal struggles. He said he came from a poor family and had a difficult upbringing.
“I am the son of a poor day-to-day worker from Jamna-Paar, Delhi who migrated from a peasant family in search of livelihood. My early life was not easy, I spent the beginning of my career just working to pay bills, unable to pursue my real dreams of starting my own company.”
Neelwal said his life changed dramatically after quitting his job to pursue entrepreneurship full time. called incorporation ribbed “The achievement of my career.”
