Wolves complete the signing of Craig Dawson from West Ham

Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced the signing of Craig Dawson from West Ham United.

The 32-year-old had spent the past three seasons in east London but has fallen below David Moyes’ rankings this term.

Dawson came close to leaving West Ham in the summer and although a move did not materialize at the time, he has now completed his move to Wolves on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

He became Wolves’ fourth signing in the January window, with Julen Lopetegui already adding Mateus Cunha, Mario Lemena and Pablo Sarabia to his squad.

West Ham confirmed in a statement that they did not want to let Dawson leave, but had agreed to the move regardless.

A statement released by “Craig has made it clear his desire to secure the transfer for personal reasons, and while the club has been reluctant to agree to a transfer, he departs with our thanks and appreciation, and we wish him well in his future career,” read West Ham.

In this edition of Talking Transfers, Scott Saunders hosts Toby Cudworth & Graeme Bailey to discuss all the great transfer stories. This week’s agenda includes Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Hakim Ziyech, Leandro Trossard, Pedro Borrow, Mykhailo Modric and more!
